We held an open day on Saturday 11 November 2017 for the community to come and have a look around the building for themselves. It was a positive experience for all and there were lots of comments regarding what a wonderful facility it was going to be and an understanding of why it has taken so long and so much money. Not long now – still a few bits and bobs to sort out.
We are now in the final process of finishing off the building, contractors are coming back to commission up plant and equipment.
This week the ground source heat pump is due to be delivered and installation will commence. This is a complex process but will complete the ground source heating system.
Thank you to Sheringham Shoal Community Fund who have awarded us £20,000 towards the completion of the ground source heating system
As we now have more than half of the funds to complete the installation of the ground source heating system (gshp) the Trust decided to go ahead and instruct our contractor to proceed with the installation of the bore hole part of the work. The drill rig and associated equipment arrived on Monday 27 March. There will be 6 holes, each to a depth of 115 metres providing the 700 metres of closed loop pipework required for the ground source heat pump which will provide heating and hot water to the new building.
The drill rig arriving, being set up and work commencing.
We have received £5,000 towards the ground source heating system. We now have £50,500 towards our target of £80,000 – £29,500 to go!
The Rank Foundation Ltd have awarded us £3,500 towards our ground source heating system. We now have £45,500 set aside leaving a target of £34.500. THANK YOU.
We now have £42,000 set aside towards the completion of the ground source heating system. We very much hope that with income from the charity shop and some grant making trust applications we reach our target of £80,000 by May 2017.
